I needed a smaller dry erase board to go on my desk, but i wanted something very pretty to match my sense of style. Unfortunately, my wants and needs couldn't be met without price, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and this is what I came up with.
I needed a smaller dry erase board to go on my desk, but i wanted something very pretty to match my sense of style. Unfortunately, my wants and needs couldn't be met without price, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and this is what I came up with.
I started with a cheep frame from Walmart, and a light pink floral patterned scrap-booking paper. I measured out the size that I needed the paper, and cut it.
I also decided that I didn't like the gold trim in the middle. So, I took some Zebra print ribbon and measured 4 pieces to the size of the gold trim.
Since the gold trim is kinda triangled in the corners, I cut it to match also.
I took the glass and paper out for this part, because it was easier to get to the ribbon without getting glue on the glass. I started to glue the edges on to the frame. I had to do the top first then let it sit for 30 minutes so that they could dry. The ribbon wasn't flexible enough to glue both at once.
After folding all the ribbon down and gluing, I decorated the frame a bit more. I love sparkly diamonds! After it drys add the paper and glass back.
