I tried to locate this pattern on Etsy (where I originally purchased it) and can no longer find it for sale. The original pattern uses the same basic body design and has instructions on how to turn it into a lion, monkey or a giraffe. My favourite of the 3 is the giraffe. I made many alterations to the pattern. Firstly I gave him a neck. The original pattern had a very short neck on it and when the head and arms were attached it looked to me like he was constantly shrugging. Second the original pattern didn't have a tail. I created one by , using body colour, doing 25ch then sc along the entire row and finishing off. With the colour of the feet I did 6sc in a magic ring, and joined together, then in each sc I chained 10, turned and sc along to make a kind of star looking thing then sewed to the tail, and attached to the body. Third, I added spots. I cut each one out of felt and randomly sewed all over the giraffe. To join his arms and legs to the body I bought some brown wooden textured buttons and used a jointing technique to attach them all in one go. I find this was saves a lot of time, the buttons are cute, and it makes them so much more awesome when their limbs can move around. Last, I knitted a little green scarf using the basic purl 1, knit 1 until it was long enough to tie around his neck. And voila! He took me about 6 hours to make only because I was being so pedantic about the positioning of everything on his body. Enjoy :)
