When you cut out gir, you want him to be a bit bigger than you want him if you decide to turn him inside out
When you cut out gir, you want him to be a bit bigger than you want him if you decide to turn him inside out
First you fold your felt in half , so your going to make 2 girs' to sew together
Next, you trace your outline. i did mine from memory, but you can use a picture from the internet if you'd like.
Third, you cut both pieces of felt around the outline, trying to stay even. This takes about 30 minutes
Then you stitch around the outside of the 2 pieces with the black thread. try to make sure it lines up. Leave one spot (about 4 inches long) before your sewing meets where you started, if you want to turn him inside out
Pull the inside to the outside ( im pretty sure you know how to turn it inside out) and it will look something like that.
Next you stuff himm from the spot where you turned him inside out. * TIP.stuff the ears , ars, and legs really well so they dont droop or flop. tie up the hole when you're done.
the 7th step is broken into a couple parts The Facial Features First you cut the white fabric into large circles and sew them on (with white thread) wherever you want the eyes. Take the fabric marker and draw the pupils. Trace the eyes with black fabric marker if you want to make it look Gir-ish
Next, Draw the nose; a small upside down triangle. Then draw the mouth; a straight black line.
Then, you sew on the tongue. Take the pink fabric and cut it into a tongue shape. sew the straight end of the tongue to the side or center of the mouth.
Next you stitch the stitches on that go up his face and down his back with the black thread. If you down want to, you can use the marker and draw them
For the ears , you can color them black or cut the old black t-shirt to the volume of the ears, and sew it on. Same with the Arms and legs.
After your done with the face, arms, legs, and ears, its time to do the zipper. Cut an old gray t shirt into a small rectangle, and a long rectangle. draw the zipper pattern on the long rectangle. sew on the large rectangle ad the smaller one above it with the black thread.
and then VOILA! your gir is done. you may add a tail in the back if you'd like
