a welcome gift for my sister

I made this gingerbread house as a welcome surprise for my little sister who is coming back from a semester abroad in South America today. Its made with an IKEA gingerbread house set. I wanted a more personal touch to it so I decorated it with her favourite sweets and drew the family, a letterbox (with a tiny envelope and "I missed you" letter inside), some trees and a welcome sign on paper. I also made her and her suitcase after I took the fotos. I´m sure she´s going to love it.
For an extra sticky icing sugar beat the powder sugar, the eggwhite and one tiny spoon of lemon juice tugether until thick, let stand for some minutes and then fill into a freezer bag (? plastic bag). Cut off one edge and start decorating! Have fun!
