These are my absolute favorite cookies, or one of them, and they are ones that I am so known for. My family loves them and sometimes hates when I make them. my cousin calls them cookie crack because he can't stop eating them once he's started. They just exude holiday with all the yummy spices. I hope some people make them.

sift together all of the dry ingredients from flour to salt.
In another bowl cream your sugar and butter and shortening. (you can use 1 1/2 cups of one or the other if you choose to) then add your eggs and molasses *not the 3/4 cups of sugar!!! that's for later
add your flour mixture to your wet ingredients and mix mix mix!
once you have a cookie dough together form balls out of the dough and then roll them in that other 3/4 cup of sugar before placing them on the cookie sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes. *I use a mixture of plain ol' white sugar and raw sugar for the texture
Now after they cool you have super yummy, super addictive gingie cookies! :3 Enjoy and I hope you don't become addicted to them!
