Cut your redeemed gift card into three chevron shapes. Using a tiny hole punch (Martha Stewart makes very durable hole punches...even works on leather!) make holes in the appropriate spots for hanging them. I painted mine with nail polish because it's waterproof and covers the printing on a gift card very well. I wish I could have done it ombre, but didn't have the polish colours for that - could you do it on my behalf?! When I wear this necklace folks are always floored by the creative use in upcycling a gift card.
