I used printed 12" X 12" cardstock, 1/4" ribbon and a stamp for sentiment message.
Using a ruler measure both length and width of your gift card. Mine measures 4" X 5-1/4". You will need to cut the card stock 8-3/4" X 5-1/4"
Cut the card stock at 5-1/4" by 8-3/4". I doubled the width of the gift card and added the 3/4 inch to allow for folding and creating the tab to glue sides together.
Using a scoring blade, you will score the longest size of the card stock, that is the 8-3/4" side. Lightly score at 4-1/8" and at 8-3/8"
Apply glue after the 8-3/4" scoring line. Fold all sides on scoring lines and secure together.
You should have all folded sides together and the holder measures approximately 4" X 5-1/4". Use a slit punch or a small circle punch to punch in the middle through the two sides together along the 4" side of the holder.
Position the length of your ribbon so it wraps around the longer length of the gift card.
Insert card into holder.
Insert ribbon through the openings on the top (front and back).
Using a circle punch cut out the stamped sentiment. Use a larger size punch and a coordinating color card stock to frame the stamped circle.
Tie a pretty bow or knot at the top of the gift card.
Secure ribbon on the back of the circle using double stick tape.
Use mounting tape so this element will pop out.
Affix the circle or other shape with the sentiment to the front of the gift card holder. To slide the gift card simply pull out using the bow at the top.
