I was sent an OttLite to test out for Craft Test and it's made a huge difference to my crafting, especially my tutorial photos. It gets really dark here in Scotland in the winter, so if you want to craft in good light, you have to do it early in the day. However, I'm a bit of a night owl when it comes to creativity, so now with my new light, I'm able to craft and take photos into the night! To show you what a difference it makes, I've made a tutorial with photos using the light on the left and photos without the light on the right.

Gather your supplies and practise laying out the beads into a design you like.
Cut a length of beading wire, measuring about 24" and fold in half. String a seed bead into the middle.
String a strand bead at either side of the seed bead.
Add another seed bead and strand bead at either side.
Add another seed bead at either side and bend the wire down towards the bottom at the opposite site.
String a strand bead on either side.
The two wire should meet in the middle. String a seed bead onto one wire and then push the other wire through.
String on two more strand beads.
String the wires up through the second seed and strand beads you threaded at either side.
Pull the wire tight, making sure all your beads are sitting nicely in the right place.
String another strand bead onto either side.
String a seed bead onto either side and then bend the wires down towards the opposite side, stringing another strand bead on either side.
String a seed bead onto one side and then thread the wire from the other side through so that they cross over in the middle.
String a seed bead on either side and then bring the wire up through the third seed bead you strung on either side.
Then take the wire up through the strand bead and out of the top of the necklace at either side.
Loop the wire around some jewellery pliers to create a loop at either side. Twist the tail several times to knot, trim and slip the rough end of the wire down through the strand bead.
Attach to a necklace chain and it's ready to wear.
