A great way to use very little paint is to create some geometric artwork for your home or office!

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Paintbrushes
  • Acrylic Paints
  • Painter's Tape
  • Canvas

Steps (4 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Pick 2 complimentary colors such as pink and yellow or green and turquoise like in this example. Feel free to explore fun color combinations that match your furniture and other decor.

  2. 2

Paint 3 coats of *lighter* color first. Make sure each layer dries completely before adding another layer. It's best to leave it to dry for 24 hours to be sure it's fully dried. Otherwise, you won’t get an even coating.

  3. 3

Using painter’s tape (I used Scotch’s Blue), create your geometric shape. Paint 3 coats of the darker color. Remove the tape once your last coat is completely dry - once again wait 24 hours! Or you might end up with splotches like I did here (yep, got too impatient!)

  4. 4

This is an optional step. Using a paint pen in a color of the same palette, draw a fun design like the flower shown here. The paint pen is in a neon pink color which contrasts well with the lighter orange and baby pink shades.
