The idea started out as a joke and then I thought it would be something my Hubby might get a kick out of. The sign is something I put together from my Hubby’s favorite bits of the Lord of the Rings. So, this is what I ended up with and I’m really happy with it.

Lay out your various boards, attach along the back and sand the surface smooth.
Paint the base with a thin, dark stain. Let it dry overnight then you can use glue to create a base for the crackle finish.
I used a flat, white paint to add the crackle.
I used an Artograph projector as a guide to add the lettering to the sign using dark gray paint.
