Step 5
After you get your pattern drawn, take it to your material. this is where the hole measurements come in.
Now we have a 4 inch top triangle, but we will have an inseam of an inch on each side, so it will leave use with a 2 inch top.
Since our measurement was 24 inches we will need 12 triangles to cut.
So if you are using 2 different fabric, cut 12 of each fabric (remember 2 leg holes) if 3 different fabric cut 8 of each. etc. -
Step 6
so now you have your fabric cut.
Take the amount needed for one leg and sew the long sides together. Place right sides together, then sew it will form a circle.
you got to do this twice. on for each leg.
One thing is if you dont have a serger use an overcast stitch after you sew each triangle. so you would be sewing it twice, it just gives you a stronger stitch and a better finish.
-
Step 7
ok so now you have 2 circles of triangles. all there is left is to sew them to the legs.
Place right sides together pin in place and sew them around. use the same overcast stitch or serger with this too.
do to other leg.
all thats left is to hem the gaucho leg up.
Use an Iron and fold twice. stitch around.
