It would be the perfect statement piece for a 1920s dress up party! You can make it as outgoing or as understated as you'd like.
It would be the perfect statement piece for a 1920s dress up party! You can make it as outgoing or as understated as you'd like.
First take applique and cut it out. The applicque that I'm using is actually an cheap beaded dress that I found at goodwill and cut up the fabric.
Next iron on a heavy iron-on-interfacing (pellon works great) to the back of the beaded fabric.
Now carefully cut the excess off.
Take your applique pieces and arrange them in a way that you like and pin it to a long piece of ribbon that can wrap around your head.
Now glue the applique to the ribbon.
Let sit for a few hours until completely dry.
Tada! Go all out and have fun with your new headpiece!
