You Will Need (3 things)
- Shirt
- Scissors
- Seam Ripper
Steps (8 steps, 60 minutes)
-
1
Find a shirt that you want to alter. This one was large and unflattering.
-
2
I didn't like the mesh turtleneck, so I cut it off.
-
3
Cut off the bottom hem, but save the strip of fabric to use later.
-
4
Cut vertical slits all along the bottom hem of the shirt. I used a seam ripper to speed up the process.
-
5
Starting from the middle, weave the slits all around the shirt. Basically, put one loop inside the next, pull it out and repeat all around.
-
6
When you are done weaving, you should be left with one last loop. Using the strip of fabric leftover from before, thread it through the last loop with the first, and tie the strip into a bow.
-
7
Crop the sleeves of the shirt to your desired length.

Follow the same steps as you did with the hem to make the gathered sleeves.
