This is another variation of garlic bread. It is very tasty but also very garlicky. If you prefer to reduce the amount of garlic powder then you could easily do this. I love it this way.
This is another variation of garlic bread. It is very tasty but also very garlicky. If you prefer to reduce the amount of garlic powder then you could easily do this. I love it this way.
In a bowl mix sugar, yeast & water. Let sit for 10 mins.
In a large bowl mix the flour & salt.
Make a well in the middle. Pour in the oil.
Then pour in the yeast mixture.
Knead until the dough comes together & is smooth.
Place into an oiled bowl & cover with cling film. Leave to prove until well risen (approx 1 hr).
Knock back the dough & knead for a couple of mins. Cut into 3 equal sized pieces.
Roll into Long flat square shapes.
Spread 1/3 of the butter mixture over the dough.
Roll the dough up into a round sausage shape & place on the tray. Repeat with the other two dough balls & remaining butter.
Cut slashes into the top of the dough all the way along.
Cover tray with cling film & allow to rise again. (Approx 20 mins).
Remove cling film & bake in the oven gas7/220 degrees for 15 mins. After 15 mins turn oven down to gas 6/200 degrees. continue to cook for 15-20 mins.
when cooked, remove bread from oven & allow to cool.
Serve.
