To keep the cold at bay I have made a funky colourful draught excluder stitched on one side with some playful typography “Mind The Gap” and backed in denim. This cross stitch uses worsted wool, half stitch and a large holed canvas so is quicker than normal cross stitch.

Download the cross stitch pattern and trace or copy onto your tapestry canvas.
Using a half cross stitch , stitch the whole canvas in the colours of your choice.
When finished cut a jeans leg to the size of your cross stitch and pin right sides together. Sew on the sewing machine right to the edge of the cross stitch. Leave the top open.
Turn your draught excluder right side out and fill with fiberfill.
When full with fiberfill sew shut by hand.
Your draught excluder is now ready to keep the cold air at bay.
