Japanese inspired paper clay canes are very popular now-they are used for cute kawaii cell phone cases, miniatures and adorable jewelry found on Etsy. But, I have not seen them used like this, only with 'whipped cream' clay and rhinestones, or used for tiny dollhouse miniatures. I made one of these for myself and got so many complements, I sold a couple to friends and family. Now, I've made 7 or 8 in all different designs, the possibilities are endless.

Try to come up with a design in the pendant first before glueing. (here are all my canes, I bought a lot on ebay for all of them for $!0!)
First, spread some of your glue on the inside of the pendant. Using your fingers, tweezers or a toothpick, lay down an outer ring of one cane design.
Add more glue, repeat, this time only filling inside of those canes.
Keep repeating this step until the entire pendant is filled.
Set it aside to dry, and if you want, thread half of the beads onto your chain or ribbon.
Thread on the pendant, and the other beads. Tie the ends together or add a clasp.
Done!
