Unlike its neighbor, this shirt is decorative and looks a bit Victorian... or retro... Whatever, it will change the vibe of an outfit. In charcoal with a dobby stripe, there’s a mannish air about it—its appeal lies in not being too sweet.

You will need

Fabric – pre-dyed dobby Panama stripe 44 in (110cm) wide x 15⁄8 yd (1.4m) Iron-on Interfacing – 24 in (60cm) x 24 in (30cm) Buttons – 6 at 1⁄2 in or 5⁄8 in (1.4cm) diameter

Instructions

1. 

   Cutting layout Figures inside brackets show seam allowances. Where not indicated, allow  in (1cm). *ron interfacing on to front right placket, front left edge and inner collar

2. Create front and back darts

3. 

   Create frill

4. 

   Finish off front placket

5. Sew shoulder seams

6. 

   Attach collar

7. Sew side seams

8. 

   Attach frill to neck opening

9. 

   Sew hem

10. 

    Create buttonholes and attach buttons.
