I have been a bit owl obsessed for a while now, and after making dozens of mini owls i thought i would have a go at making a stand up version. The first ones i made i just filled with fluff but after that i filled the top half with poly fibre and the bottom half with sand to give them extra weight. Added extra buttons on top of wings and as eyes and blanket stitch embroidered around tummy, face and eyes, - which is a therapeutic thing to do on a Sunday morning!!

First of all you need to cut out your pieces - cut 2 of the large main body, 2 wings, the round base all from the main fabric. Cut two wing linings from constrast fabric and the tummy and face, eyes, beak and feet from felt.
