I had a problem with my schedule lately, so I bought an agenda. but then I forgot my agenda too! then I remember I had one piece of sock left from my fox sock plushie project, so I made this cute agenda cozy! :D
I had a problem with my schedule lately, so I bought an agenda. but then I forgot my agenda too! then I remember I had one piece of sock left from my fox sock plushie project, so I made this cute agenda cozy! :D
first, make sure your sock is big enough. mine is size 39 from cotton/polyester, its very stretchy. when you're sure it fits perfectly, fold until the ankle part of the sock.
hold tight and cut straight.
turn it upside down. fold the opening (where you cut) inside and sew with a ladder stitch. it fits better this way than taking the cozy off and sewing it from the inside because the seams won't show from the outside.
use a sheet of paper from your math book and mark the corners of the cozy, just to get the exact size.
draw your design with a pencil and cut them. cut the bottom part where you want to the fox fur to be white (bottom)
cut a white felt with your pattern. also make a pattern for a nose and cut it with a black felt. remember you have the math sheet to help you make a symmetrical pattern. now pin and glue with fabric glue (I used UHU)
glue the nose right in the middle, covering the bottom curve of the white part. draw the eyes with pencil. you can also poke a hole from the paper pattern you made to mark the edges of the eyes.
embroider the eyes. hide the excess of the black thread under the white felt and glue again to secure. alternative: if you don't like embroidery you can also make the eye lines from a black felt and glue them instead.
enjoy your cozy. now that your agenda is cute you won't forget them at home anymore! you can also try different animals with different color of socks :)
