I have been hating my saran wrap and using dishes to cover my food in bowls. But there are a few bowls I have that are a bit on the large side and have an awkward lip. I found that Martha Stewart had featured a place where you can buy cloth food covers,(https://bowlovers.com/products-page/bowlovers/original-collection/)yet there had to be a way to just make them. Found a few, but this was the best and easiest tutorial that worked for me. (http://allysonhill.typepad.com/photos/eco_lid/index.html) and wow how easy. Then I thought for those "square" baking dishes, this would be perfect to try, and it worked just as good. This is so simple and so much better than fighting with my saran wrap. (I hate saran wrap, never sticks to my dishes.) They're washable and reusable, but because they're breathable, they don't keep a tight seal. So if you're wanting to just cover food for a couple days or left overs for lunch, this is perfect. Try one and once you make one you'll want to make 'em for all your bowls.
