This is an easy, versatile project. I haven't decided what to make mine into yet; it could be part of a headband, or a pin, or almost anything else. Plus it doesn't use very much fabric. This is the pattern I used for inspiration http://www.madebylex.com/2009/09/corsage-pin.html

Cut Your fabric into strips, thinner makes less fluffy flowers, thicker makes bigger; don't make them to long. Tee shirt scraps are really great for this.
Do a long running stitch all the way down one of the strip; it helps to use a contrasting thread, the stitches won't show up.
Pull the thread tight, then twist it into a flower shape; make sure its not all twirled up.
Attach one end to other slightly overlapping, if needed add more stitches to keep it together.
Stitch around the bottom in a star pattern, then tie of the thread.
