I've always been looking for cute pushpins, but I've never found any that were relatively cheap. I finally decided to make some of my own using some fake flowers I had lying around. These are so easy to make, and they're great for adding some life to your home or office.

Remove the base and stem of the flower. Depending on how firmly this is attached, you might be able to rip it off with your fingers. However, I used a butter knife to pry it off on the more stubborn flowers.
The rest of this project is incredibly simple. Now pull out the center of the flower. (It should come out very easily.)
You should just have the petals left now. Repeat this with any other flowers you have.
Swap some of the petals with each other so that you have multicolored flowers. I like to swap mine out, but if you like them as they are, glue the layers of petals together.
Now get out your pushpins. I found this package of cute colors at Staples for only a dollar.
Slip a pushpin through the hole in the center of each flower. Now you're done!
Stick your new blooms up on your bulletin board. Now you can experiment with other types of flowers. I would absolutely love to try making these out of roses!
