this is sortof a collective piece. designed from a few different ideas that i have seen.

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Sturdy Thread
  • Fabric
  • Button(s)
  • Stuffing
  • Small Flower / Plant Pots
  • Ribbon
  • Hot Glue And Glue Gun

Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)

    started with one big circle about 9- 10 inches diameter.
    and cut two leaves either out of fabric or felt ..whatever you have on hand
    and also one small circle the same size as the top of pot...for bottom of flower

    stitch around outside of big circle loosely so you can pull tight and close

    stuff with whatever you have...i used raw wool

    close tightly and stitch secure

    stitch button to center...pull needle through to the back, pull tight and secure.

    then loop around to front and back through the center to the back ..like figure eights...make your pedals... however many you would like...i made six.

    the leaves were done free hand on the machine . felt would work great in this step...hot glue the leaves on the back. take a circle the same size as the top of your pot and glue that onto the back to hide everything.

    use two short lengths of ribbon as hinges. hot glue to flower and then to the inside of the pot. i also glued a small circle of fabric to the inside bottom to plag up the little hole...and then you just fill with your goodies and enjoy!

    on this one i added a little button latch...and attached another short piece of ribbon under the flower to hook onto the button.
