Inspired by the Tarina Tarantino anywhere clips, I decided to make my own version. Can be made with netting, tulle, organza, whatever you please.
Inspired by the Tarina Tarantino anywhere clips, I decided to make my own version. Can be made with netting, tulle, organza, whatever you please.
Start by making a small flower out of wire.
Make a larger flower (vary your wire for more interest)there is no technique to this, I use a single piece of wire and it helps when after you make a petal you wrap it around the center to keep it in place.
Hot glue the pieces together with the rhinestone on top.
The petals are made individually. Cut your fabric into equal squares of the size you want, they will be folded in half so make them twice as big. after you've folded them in half take your threaded needle (knotted at the end)and starting at a corner on the fold, stitch around the open edges, ending at the opposite folded corner. Pull the thread tight so the fabric is ruched and tie tight.
Glue the petals to the back, be very neat with the glue and beware of stringys. Using tacky glue, apply rhinestones to the petals.
Finally attach a brooch to the back.
