Floral Nail Art! (:

Flowers, trees, nature. They are always there but sometimes we take them for granted and forget to appreciate them. So don't be sad when others don't value your worth or notice your noble deeds. For the sun rises each day, flowers bloom all the way. Such a beautiful spectacle and yet people are too busy to even take notice.

About

Hi everybody!

This is my floral/flower design. Just by looking at it, I thought flower designs seem hard because some are pretty detailed and intricate. But when I tried it, it isn't that hard as what I thought it would be. I thought florals are great for this season. I tried to make it as easy as I could. No special tools such as acrylic paints or dotting tools are required for this.
I hope you will like this design (:

Thank you!

    Hello there!
Here is a floral nail design to share with you!

When I first started, I thought acrylic paints are needed for this. Yes, paints do make it easier but since I didn’t have paints, I stuck to normal nail polish. At first when I started, I thought this design seemed difficult to do because of the intricate pattern of the flower. However, later on, I realized it was easier than it looks.

I hope you will like this nail art (: If you have any questions or are unclear how to do this, feel free to ask! (:

    Thank you!

I use the base coat, white, green, light and dark pink nail polish and the top coat. I also use toothpicks to help me. You may also use a dotting tool but I decided to skip that.

  3. 3

Start by applying a base coat to protect your natural nails.

  4. 4

Next I apply my base color which is the white nail polish. For this, I apply 2 thin coats of white nail polish as the white is pretty light.

  5. 5

Once the white nail polish have dried, I take the light pink nail polish and blob it randomly onto my nail. I do understand that perhaps some of you may have face problems especially if you are not using your writing or dominant hand.

The best part about this is the blobs are random and they do not need to be perfect. They can be at any position on your nail as well wherever you want the blobs to be. This will create the outer petals.

For this I did not use any additional items like paints or a dotting tool. But if you have them and want to use it, go ahead.

  6. 6

Next, I take my toothpick and dab it in my dark pink nail polish. Carefully draw or add in some color onto the petals. Again, it doesn’t have to be that perfect.

The purpose of adding colors is just to give it some pattern, colors and maybe even dimension. Hopefully, this will helps to make it look more like a flower.

  7. 7

At this point, you are done with the flower itself. When I did this, I thought it looked funny. What really finishes this design is the leaves. The leaves on the flower make it look more complete. I take my green nail polish and again using a toothpick, I draw in the leaves.

  8. 8

The leaves do not need to be very regular in shape either. Leaves can come in different shapes and size. The green really will brighten up the design because it adds a different color compared to pink.

  9. 9

Then, take a cotton pad or cotton bud to remove any excess mess.

  10. 10

Once you are done, apply the top coat to seal in the design and give your nails a shine!

It does take time and patience to do this especially drawing each flower. If not, you can choose to just do this on your accent nail and thumb.

I hope the design is relatively easy for you. I tried to use basic tools without adding too much. My favorite part of it is just dabbing and blobbing the nail polish! (:
