You Will Need (8 things)

  • Card Stock
  • Die Cutting Machine
  • Pencils
  • inks
  • Dies thinlits or framelits
  • Ruler or grid paper
  • Lo tack Tape or washi tape
  • Stamps Rubber or photpolymer

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

N.B. for the pictures in this tutorial I have used scrap card and drawn in the lines so you can see where to place them.

    Cut a piece of A4 card down to 15cm x 14cm.

Line up the card stock into the bottom left hand corner of the grid paper cm side up so that the 15cm side runs left to right and the 14cm side runs top to bottom. OR using a ruler:

Position the Label framelit with the top point on the framelit at 5.3cm along the 15cm side and secure in place with washi tape

  2. 2

Score the card above and below the framelit at 5.3cm and then again at 7.5cm

Tip: If you prefer you can draw a line faintly in pencil along the 5.3cm and 7.5cm points

  3. 3

Position the card base in between the cutting plates along the 7.5cm point making sure that the rest of the framelit is sticking out of the top of the cutting plates as shown in the picture.

Run through the Big Shot/Die Cutting Machine.

  4. 4

Rotate the card stock and position the cutting plates along the 5.3 line ensuring that the rest of the card stock is sticking out the top of the plates as previously. Run through the Bigshot.

Your flip card is now ready to decorate as you choose.

  5. 5

I stamped my card with a woodgrain background card. I cut out another label using the same die and stamped flowers and a sentiment on it and then fixed it over the top of the label on the flip card. I also stamped over the wood grain print with the flowers on the bottom right hand corner.
