So, as I mentioned, I'm busy decorating. I had these awesome collective noun flashcards by Woop Studio, and I really wanted to do something with them. We buy these learning aids for our kids but how frequently do they actually take them out of the box? And these are just too cool to be hidden, so I decided that rather than using up wall space to display them (I have plans for other art work) I'd save myself the effort of cutting fabric for bunting and use the cards instead. I'm pretty impressed with the results and they will look good hanging in my son's room.

First, measure the space you plan to hang your bunting, add some extra length to the bias tape at the ends for hanging/tying. Then grab your cards!
Basically lay your tape on a flat surface and place your chosen cards on it, evenly spacing them out. Play with colour and pattern combinations until you like your design.
Next take a white gel pen and mark the edges of the cards on the tape. Remove your cards (make sure they're in the order you wanted them).
Fold your bias tape in half along it's length, this should be fairly easy to do.
Squeeze a line of glue along the top edge of your first card, find the first white mark inside the folded tape, line it up with the corner of the card and press down. Repeat until you've filled up the length of tape.
Allow to dry for a few minutes (this should be quite quick, all purpose glue is fast drying) and use more glue to seal the folds in the tape between your cards, and to stick down any edges. And there you go, flash card bunting!
