My daughter wanted to know how you make a pie and I realised that I have never made a pie when she has been about.
Crumbles, tarts, quiches, we have made them all, but never a pie. Although she has made pastry with me before.
So I talked her through the simple steps and this is her first attempt, with a puff pastry top.

You Will Need (5 things)

8 oz Pastry sweet or short crust
1 Egg(s) Whites lightly beaten
8 oz Fruit we used cooking apples & blackberries
2 tbsp Sugar add to fruit
1 tsp Caster Sugar to sprinke over top
