Chain 21 in Single crochet in the second chain form the hook and in the next 19 stitches. Slip stitch in the round to join. 20 stitches. Now place a stitch marker in first Sc to mark the beginning of the round.
Single crochet in each stitch, at the end of each round slip stitch in the first stitch with the marker. This slip stitch counts as the first Single crochet in each row. Repeat this round 8 times.
Now repeat previous rounds again but do not slip stitch this time but chain 2 (you are making the thumb hole and place the marker in the first chain) skip 2 stitches from row below and proceed to single crochet the rest of the round to marker.
2 Single crochet in the ch 2 space. Place marker in the first Sc you make. Sc in each stitch around slip stitch in stitch with the marker. Remembering this counts as your first Sc.
Single crochet in each stitch till marker for the next TWO rounds. Fasten off. weave in the all loose ends on glove.
Now take your contrast yarn and join to the bottom edge and Half double crochet in each stitch 20 Half double crochet. Repeat on the top edge.
