You Will Need (3 things)

  • Hair Band
  • Thread
  • Felt

Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

You will need white felt, some green felt and a scrap of red felt some matching thread, I used embroidery thread, a needle, scissors and whatever you would like to attach the finished bow to. I used an elastic hair band.

  2. 2

Cut out a small rectangle of the White felt, some holly leaves from the green felt and some little circles for holly berries from the red felt. I did these free hand but you could make a pattern or find an outline of a holly leaf.

  3. 3

Use red embroidery thread (I used two strands) to do a decorative stitch around the outside of the White rectangle

  4. 4

Using on strand of red embroidery thread or red cotton stitch the berries together and then stitch the leaves onto the berries. There will be red stitches on the back of the leaves but they will be covered by the main bow.

  5. 5

Use green cotton or embroidery thread to gather the White rectangle in the middle. Stitch it securely but leave the thread on.

  6. 6

Using the thread hanging off stitch on the holly decoration. It's best to put the stitches behind the berries if possible so you can secure the decoration to the stitches in the middle of the bow. The bow is now finished. You can stitch it to anything you like. I attached it to an elastic hair band but it could be attached to hair grips or even gifts.
