I found this shirt at a MCR concert under somebody's foot. Anyway, it's been sitting in my closet for over a year now and I finally decided that this shirt needed something. Guys aren't the only ones who like to represent!

Description

I found this shirt at a MCR concert under somebody's foot. Anyway, it's been sitting in my closet for over a year now and I finally decided that this shirt needed something. Guys aren't the only ones who like to represent!

Instructions

  1. Small 9601

Start off with your manly box-like shirt and straighten it out.

  2. Small 9602

Make it as perfectly flat and straight as possible :)

  3. Small 9603

Then turn the shirt inside out.

  4. Small 9604

I don't do well with measurements, so I just took some chalk and went ahead with how much I think I should take in. This fitting the shirt pretty much! Start with the sleeves, the very tip and then draw the line down to the very bottom, make sure it's even!

  5. Small 9605

Cut away the extra fabric, now you have a fitted shirt :)

  6. Small 9606

To make it even more girly, I suppose I "cuffed" the sleeves, I don't exactly know what to call it. Anyway, I put elastic at the end of the sleeve and stitched it into place!

  7. Small 9607

Fold the tip of the sleeve over the elastic and sew the elastic into the sleeve.

  8. Small 9608

After you've done that with both sleeves - it should look as pictured.

  9. Small 9609

Cut the elastic band from the neck. This makes the collar less manly.

  10. Small 9610

The product of all the following steps should resemble this.

  11. Small 9611

Measure an inch around the entire neck with chalk.

  12. Small 9612

After you've cut the neck out, it should look like that. This makes the shirt a lot more feminine. You can stitch around the neck if you like, but I didn't so it would have an edge to it.

  13. Small 9613

You don't have to do this, but I did as an experiment; a risk. Measure down the back, my mark is 13 inches down from the neck.

  14. Small 9614

Make a bow! You can use glue or thread, but since I ran out of glue... I used thread.

  15. Small 9615

    Not perfect, but close enough.

  16. Small 9616

Then put the bow onto the shirt and stitch it into place.
