This will always be my favorite toy I've ever made. It's great for playing catch, be it by yourself or with someone else!

Trace a star on your felt and fold it in half. Pin the fabric down and cut it out (about 1/6 inch away from the lines) to get two stars.
Sew the two stars together as they are, but leave an opening in between 2 of the 5 spokes.
Turn it inside out. As tight as it may feel, it will work! Poke inside with the eraser side of a pencil to help you squeeze everything out.
Cut 8-10 strips of ribbon around 2.5-3 feet long.
Stack the ribbons on top of each other and use a short piece of string to tie a knot around them near the ends. This holds them together so you can sew them inside your star.
Thread your needle before starting Step 7, because you won't have two hands to do it once you get started!
Stick the ends of your ribbons with the knot around them into your star where the opening is. Now's the last call for extra stuffing if your star looks like it needs any! Thread your needle through the felt and the ribbons and start closing the opening in between those 2 spokes. Be sure to sew through the ribbons over and over again to keep them in place. Once you're finished, cut off the extra thread.
