Inspired by my lovely clean orchids (see my 'how to gok your orchids' project), I decided to make a wearable one! This is super-easy, just follow the template. I have now done a few more on hair clips and slides, etc, plus modified my flip flops! (It was a good excuse to get down to the craft store and buy a hot-glue gun!) These are all done from the same template.

Okay, cut around the template - you need two of each of the top two shapes, and one (in a contrasting colour) of the bottom one. You can play about with the colours as much as you like.
Okay, take both 'pairs' of shapes and attach them together with a running stitch, (I used 3 of the 6 threads from a length of embroidery thread for this), stuffing each petal very lightly before closing. Once you have done both pieces, place them on top of each other in the correct order. Your 'three-petal' shape is the bottom one, then the 'two-petal', then the small shape. Secure these in place by running your thread through the sequin and bead and then back through the sequin. Do a couple of tight stitches around the sequin area now to push forward the petals of the small piece.
Okay, you are ready to attach your orchid onto your hair slide. I did this by just stitching over part of the slide. You could do this onto a hair clip like I have, or onto pony tail holder, a hair grip or slide comb. The possibilities are endless for these - you could embellish bags or sandals with them!
