So I made these as super easy Christmas gifts for my nieces. Sorry about the pictures but my phone camera isn't the greatest. I will load better ones once my husband gets home. The first 2 pictures are of the book I made for my one younger niece- she is kind of a girly girl so I did purple felt for her with a purple swirl and silver stars cotton for the decoration on the front. For the inside "pages" I alternated between pink felt and purple felt- 4 sheets to make 8 "pages" total. To finish it off I used some white lace I had to make the tie with. For the last 2 pictures, they are of the book for my oldest niece- she is kind of into punky but slightly girly things. So I used pink felt for the cover of the book with some zebra print flannel for contrast. For the pages I used neon green & orange and pink and purple. Again, 4 sheets to make 8 "pages" total. Also, I used some more of the white lace I had to make the tie for this second book as well. Total time- 4.5 hours (with struggling to get my machine to work properly and a few kid interruptions...) for both books. Total cost- maybe $3.50 for all of it... if that (I braved the black friday crowds at JoAnns to get the fabric for these and the Scoodies I plan on making for each of them too- I will post those when I get them done.)
