You Will Need (4 things)
- Scissors
- 1 cotton Ball you can use stuffing as well
- Needle And Thread preferably beading needle, you can use 2 sizes for sewing and beading
- Permanent Marker
Steps (10 steps, 20 minutes)
-
1
Gather materials
-
2
Make a pattern for the cakes. Make 2 circles, one bigger than the other. I just punched 2 circles on paper.
-
3
Using the big circle, trace 2 of them on 2 colours of felt. On will be the cake part and one will be the liner.
-
4
Using the small circle, trace it onto your third colour of felt. This wil be the icing and where the beads or "sprinkles" will go.
-
5
Cut out all of the shapes
-
6
Place the icing and cake pieces together, placing the side with any markings on it down. Using a running stitch, add beads when you poke the needle up. We're adding beads so you don't have to stitch the two pieces later. Keep the stitches that have beads close together so you don't see the thread.
-
7
Put the liner piece on top of the cake piece. Again, leave the side with markings inside the cupcake. Using a running stitch, stitch around the circles, leaving some seam allowance. Leave an opening for stuffing.
-
8
Stuff the cupcake.
-
9
Pull on the thread to gather the cake. Close the end then pull it so that it's gathered as well. Tie a knot and you're done!!!!

There's so many things to do with these. They make great pincusions, you can sew on pin backs or glue it on a ring base!! If you have any questions, just leave a comment or message!
