(Thus all those fabric flower patterns in that post, and myThreadbanger roundup.) I was going to do these as a DIY tutorial for my Tuesday Threadbanger post, but then realized they weren't really worthy of a full-fledged tutorial. I got the idea from a lovely pair of furfur flowered ballet flats I spotted online recently. (I do love furfur!) To make them was almost embarrassingly easy, but here's the how-to if you guys are interested:

Tentacle Box

A surprisingly easy, decidedly creepy gift!

This, I must admit, is adapted slightly from a tutorial on a site I can no longer locate, but as my first major project I thought it might be worth posting. You will require two differend shades of Fimo or your preferred polymer clay - one for the base of the tentacle, and one for the suckers. I made this for my fiance, as his Valentine's gift this year - I can recommend giving it only to people who know you very well. I must apologise for the blurry images; they were taken on an unfamiliar camera so the focus isn't amazing. I had perhaps been reading a little much Lovecraft before I made this; you see what you think:

The Blue Blanket

A shorter blanket, born to stay on the sofa!

I made this one as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend's parents, because they have a blue sofa, and they were moved when they saw it!
