Sometimes you just can't predict how materials are going to react to a process, and that's half the fun of crafting! When I started playing around with the foil-lined wrapper from a package of ramen noodles, i had no idea that when glued down it would somehow pull itself into a nifty pattern! The resulting faux stainless steel looks a lot more complicated to make than it actually is, and everything for this project was rescued from the trash!

Instructions

  1. Small s1

I got this foiled wrapper from a packet of ramen.

  2. Small s2

Cut open and clean the wrapper if it's oily.

  3. Small s3

Take an empty potato chips canister and wrap the wrapper around it. Don't glue the whole side, just dots of glue and not to pull too strong too!

  4. Small s5

You will start to see a pattern like this forming when you pull the edge - glue once you happy with the patterns.

  5. Small s6

I used 2 piecs of wrapper for this project - the result is simply amazing and unbelievable too!

  6. Small s7

Definitely not camera trick or secret method - as simple as the steps above and you will have your 'stainless steel vase'! DONE! Not even a dime is spend!

  7. Small s9

Upclose - and it just look absolutely perfect and stunning! You better try yourself to believe it! I am still shock over this "discovery" from a bowl of ramen... Have fun!
