I found this H&M giftcard worth €50 the other day but I don't buy H&M because of ethical reasons. I saw a sweater hanging with the text 'Crush on you' spelled on it I wanted to buy it so badly because of its cuteness but was put off since the label read 'made in Bangladesh'.
I eventually bought socks and some jewellery as a present for Christmas.

You Will Need (4 things)
- Mod Podge Fabric
- Old Sweater
- Needle And Thread
- black Felt
Steps (5 steps, 150 minutes)

1
Type your desired text in Word using WordArt.
I used the Mistral font and enlarged it to the size I wanted. I used this font because it looks like it's been written with a fountain pen.
Pin it onto your felt and cut it out.

Give the felt a coating using Mod Podge Fabric. Not only will the applique last longer when washed but it will also give it a shiny 'painted' look.
-
3
Arrange the applique onto your garment.

Now comes the time consuming part..
The time spend on this depends on the size of your applique (mine took about 3 hours!!)
You could attach the applique by hand stitching it to the sweater or you could just glue it on.
I hand stitched it because it made it look a bit more puffy around the edges plus I thought glueing it on would make the applique on the sweater appear less flexible.
