This cake was inspired by the clip below from 'Little Britain', it's my Dad's favourite sketch in the show. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/w9r25GhBWjc&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/w9r25GhBWjc&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> This is the first time I have written with icing that I can remember.

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add the eggs and flour, mix alternating each ingrediants in small amounts until all is mixed in.
Sieve in the cocoa powder and add 2 handfuls of almonds. Mix together.
Place batter in a greased baking tin and cook for 20 mins - 1 hour depending on how much you put in the tin, obviously you could make a sandwich cake if you prefer. If you put the whole mix in one tin it could take about an hour so stab the middle with a knife to see if it's cooked, the knife will be clean when it comes out if the cake is cooked. Heat on a medium heat so that the outside will not be over done and the inside not done.
Leave to cool and decorate with icing and almonds or whatever you want. The almonds were stuck on with dots of icing.
