Get your fave fashion magazine and decide what cropped image you want as your brooch. Trace out the shape using the wooden piece as your template. Do this with two images of your choice.
Carefully cut out the images with a craft knife. I made my circles a bit smaller than the wooden piece so a little bit of the color on the brooch bordered the image.
Set the images aside for now and paint your wooden brooch whatever color strikes your fancy. Be sure to cover the whole thing, front, back, and edges.
Time to break out the mod podge!
Add a very thin coat to one side of the brooch.
Before the thin coat of mod podge dries, stick your image on top and then add another thin coat on top of the image to seal it in.
Use some strong glue to attach the pins.
You can optionally attach a chain to the pin backs like I did to add some flair!
