I always think of ideas of what to do with my fabric scraps once I finished a project. Then an idea comes to mind! This time I'm thinking hair accessories for the cute and elegant. In this tutorial, I will show you how you can make your own fancy hair clips for various occasions be it a dinner party, prom, club nights, wedding, endless possibilities! (goes great with Victorian and Lolita fashion!)

Take a needle and thread and gather stitch the fabric that you're gonna use. I am using a piece of trim that I had left from doing a project. Gather enough where it will take the form of a circle shape and the hole in the middle is hardly visible.
Next, sew the inner edges of the gathered piece together. Sealing, making sure that it's tight and it doesn't unravel.
It should look something like this when you're done. If it doesn't not to worry for every flower is unique. Just be sure that it's tightly secured.
Now take the button or bead of your choice and feed the needle through the hole of it. Tie a knot then continues stitching it to the flower piece several times until it feels tight. You should test it by lightly pulling the button. If it's still too loose then keep stitching. If It's tight, end the stitch by tying a knot
Grab your hair clip and your hot glue gun and shoot a dot of glue on top of the clip. Then place your flower piece gently on the dot. Let it dry for a few minutes
And you're finished! Try it on and see what side looks best on your head! Wear it anytime! (except in the pool or shower. >.<)
