The Neverending Story is one of my favourite films, combining two great film genres- 1980s puppetry and fantasy. I'm always disappointed by the lack of merchandise for the film and had been wanting to make a Falkor model for ages. Finally got round to it after Christmas. I used lots of mixed media, including felt, wool fibres, fimo clay and paint. I tried to make him as life-like and similar to the movie as possible. It took me a long time (especially the making, baking, glittering and glueing of all the magical scales) but in the end it was worth it and I love him lots!
