An idea i thought of on the spot when looking through scraps
first off u want to take the envelope and CAREFULLY take it apart and lay it dwn flat on your fabric allowing room 4 hems. Then pin your envelope down so it doesnt run away! :P
Now cut out around your envelope like so...
Pin and iron your hem but leave the indented corners alone unless nessasary
sew around the hem (i used a machine 4 this part)
fold the bottom half up like an open envelope and pin the pieces together
now sew along the line of pins (i had to hand sew from this point on)
and theres your envelope!!! <3
If you are like i was you will feel like it is unfinished so.... we need 2 make a stamp!!!! cut out another square of fabric about... 1" by 1/2"
pin down around the edges and sew the hem
(optional) Next take some skinny lace and pin around the edges and sew
heres the finished stamp!
after you've sewn the stamp to the top right of the envelope take a sharpie and draw 4 straight lines in the middle to give the effect its real.
AND NOW YOUR DONE!!!! you can leave messages in it, close it w/ a safety pin or a pretty brouch, give away or keep 4 yourself ^w^ ENJOY <3
