You Will Need (5 things)

  • Glass Jar
  • Etching Cream
  • Contact Paper
  • Exacto Knife
  • Small Brush

Steps (4 steps, 90 minutes)

  1. 1

Be sure your jar is completely clean. Trace, draw or stencil a design onto the paper side of stick-on Contact paper. If you're using letters, be sure they're backwards. Cut out the design using an Xacto knife. Peel off the backing and stick the stencil onto the jar.

  2. 2

Liberally apply the etching cream inside the cut outs. Let it sit for an hour.

  3. 3

Rinse off the etching cream and remove the stencil. I had a couple of spots that needed a little more time, so I carefully applied the cream in those areas and let it sit for another hour.

  4. 4

Fill your jar with something fun!
