Here is the beginning of our tiny, window-sill, year-round herb garden. Technically, these should have little drain holes in the bottom. They don't. I haven't had a problem with this, but you'll want to avoid overwatering. This tutorial was originally posted on my blog "Painting on the Ceiling." Enjoy!

I used robust Beacon 527, which I let dry over night, for the initial twine-to-plastic connection. For the one I did I used ordinary clear tape to hold the end in place.
After that, it was Elmer’s all the way until the very end, at which point I used the Beacon 527 again. NOTE: I found it worked better to do two or three rows and then let them dry before adding more. So I'd do one container over the course of a couple of days.
I had to push each additional strand up tight against its neighbor, but I still had some white peeking through. Oh, well. It’s still less tacky than un-adorned yogurt containers!
I sealed it with my beloved ModPodge. A simple technique but one with possibilities!
