This project is partly based on an idea by Sharilyn Miller, author of Bead on wire. I have also found that I can use a pen, lip stick or a manderel as well. You don't really need to use an 18 guage like she mentioned.

Intro and materials needed
Cut a piece of wire, about 5cm. Form a loop using a round nose pliers.
Form a second loop using the middle part of your round pliers. My version:(sorry I forgot to take a picture)wrap the other side of the wire on a pen, manderel or any other object. I use both versions depending on my mood, LOL.
The second loop will be larger than the first. Hammer on a steel block or Beadsmith whacker.
Take the large loop, place in the middle of the pliers. Twist the small loop with your fingers or flat nose pliers. I prefer the form, using my left fingers.
This is how the links will turn out. I usually make loads of these and store away for future projects
Link to basic or wire wrapped beads. You can use this technique for the top part of a necklace or long as the one pictured. Also for the first part of a clasp. The possibilites are endless.
