PREHEAT OVEN TO 185˚C.
IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE THE DRY INGREDIENTS (FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER) AND SET TO ONE SIDE.
CREAM THE SUGAR AND BUTTER UNTIL NICE AND SMOOTH. BEAT IN THE EGG AND VANILLA. BEAT IN THE DRY MIXTURE FROM BEFORE.
PLACE THE MIXTURE ON SOME PARCHMENT PAPER AND ATTEMPT TO FORM TINY BALLS WITH THE DOUGH.
BAKE THEM FROM 8 TO 12 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN. LET THEM COOL DOWN A LITTLE BIT.
USE COLOURED FONDANT AND FROSTING TO DECORATE THE EMOJIS. A TUBE OF BLACK ICING IS GREAT FOR DETAILS AND A MORE POLISHED LOOK.
