I needed a sleep mask for an upcoming trip. So, I made two.
I cut a top and bottom for each from a pattern I made. (I used scraps of a red velvet-like material and a black t-shirt sleeve to make sure they would be comfy.)
I embroidered the front of each mask. (One reads "Let Me Dream" in white with a black butterfly, the other has a Gothic-inspired butterfly approx over each other with white and red accents.) This too the longest.
Front sides together I sewed each front to a back, leaving about an inch or less on each side to leave space to turn as well as for the elastic. Trim strings and iron as needed.
Turn right sides out. Iron as needed.
Pin elastic in place and zig zag stitch entire thing. Trim strings. Iron as Needed.
