Dug up this old camera out of a closet, and thought it'd be fun to take some film pictures. Then I saw a posting for a contest where entries had to be "photography-themed" and I just had to give it a shot! This is what I ended up with.

Detach your plain strap and lay it out flat.
Draw the shape you want your outlines to be and cut out. Place this over the strap.
By hand, sew around the edge of the paper with colored embroidery floss. The lines don't have to be perfect, as long as they're neat, the right tension (so the strap doesn't get bunched up or there isn't loose string hanging around), and the thread is firmly tied off when you finish a single silhouette.
Repeat through the length of the strap, alternating colors. I did pink, green, lavender, and blue. Make sure your silhouettes are spaced evenly, I used a tape measure to measure 3/4" between silhouettes.
Then, go back and sew in the outline of the camera lens. You could match the colors or, if you wanted, mix up the color of the lens and the camera body. Repeat with all of the silhouettes, and you're done!
