Stitch this simple hand embroidery pattern and create your own fall decor, or pick colors for the springtime. This pattern is great for beginners and will give you lots of practice using the satin stitch.

You Will Need (6 things)

  • 4 in Embroidery Hoop
  • Unbleached Cotton Muslin Fabric
  • 6 -strand cotton Embroidery Floss
  • Size 5 Embroidery Needle
  • Erasable Fabric Pen
  • Embroidery Scissors

Steps (4 steps, 240 minutes)

    Download the autumn leaves embroidery pattern above.

    Print out your autumn leaves pattern and trace it with an erasable fabric pen onto the unbleached cotton muslin fabric. Tip: tape the pattern and fabric to a bright window for easier tracing.

    When you are finished stitching, rinse out the marks from the erasable fabric pen according to the pen's instructions. Lay your project flat to dry, ironing out any wrinkles. Finally stretch it in its hoop for display.
